Overview:

The growing Fundred Reserve is a collective project made by people across America. Their hand-drawn interpretations of $100 bills are original works of art that together call attention to the danger of childhood lead poisoning and remind us that every child’s future has value.

Fundred is an artist-led engagement project of SOURCE Studio, produced in partnership with MIT Community Innovators Lab.  We are seeking high school youth ambassadors to join our team in DC to work at the Fundred Reserve Open Lab and in the community.

The Fundred Reserve Open Lab, located at the H-Space in Washington DC, is a continuation of the Fundred Reserve exhibition last spring at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design in George Washington University. Through April 2018, the Open Lab will expand this movement and continue to build and support the work of amplifying everyone’s stories, having fact-based dialogue about problems in DC, and engaging the community through multiple events and programs.

Student Interns will be invited to work with the Fundred Team at Fundred Reserve Open Lab. As part of a dynamic studio and research team, student interns will work with an internally recognized artist studio, one of nation’s leading institutions, and local leaders in the arts.

Project opportunities include facilitating events and workshops, creating social media campaigns, developing new creative projects, etc. Student interns will be active contributors to events and projects that connect with their peers, parents, artists, scientists, community leaders, tenants, governmental organizations, lawmakers and policy advocates.

Student Interns will be expected to:

  • Research lead poisoning issues relevant to the DC community
  • Develop their own style presentation of the project
